IT’S ALIVE!
The images on my dead memory card are ALIVE!
All of them were successfully recovered thanks to Disk Doctors (www.DiskDoctors.com). They were fast and communicated with me daily during the recovery process.
After seeing the recovered images, I am so grateful that I chose to save them. Yes, it was expensive ($750) but that was much less than the other companies wanted and most importantly, I had a lot of good images on the card!
Here’s one of the images that I’m working on:
Good news. Lesson learnt 🙂
Recovery is possible .. all it takes is hope, determination and the right support and of course being grateful .. congratulations Cole .. looking forward to seeing more great images from you.
Great news! Looking forward to the images (the one you shared as a work-in-progress looks fabulous)!
congratulations!
That is great news, Cole – I’m happy for you!
That’s great news. Congratulations! Your article gave me the chills and I have now adjusted my second card preferences on both of my cameras.

Alive and kicking! Excellent news, excellent!
So happy for you Cole!
Congratulations on the recovery! Seeing the 1st image I’d say it was money well spent 🙂

Been wondering.
Great news.
That’s a cool announced image, heh,heh.
Take care,
Rick.
Good news Cole. I recently had my a7r with zeiss 55mm f1.8, mounted on a tripod, blow off the top of my jeep roof platform while I was looking in the bag for a filter. The first thing I thought was “Hope the card is OK’ . It was perfectly intact. This is the last image I got:

The lens was destroyed. Oh well, life goes on.
Fantastic!
Love that image above.
Cole,
Luckily, I have never had an SSD go bad. However, I have had two SanDisk cards with damaged plastic separators that would have gummed up the works had I not noticed it. Lousy quality control. You know the old saying, “If it can go wrong, it will, and usually at the worst time.”

Such a relief! Whew…
Horrible and awesome…. that we succumb to electronic bits.
YEAH!!!!!
That’s great. Happened to me once (Sandisk) and to this day, I only use Lexar!
Good to hear – whew!
Congrats! I’m sure it was worth every penny!
