Separation No. 2

Dear Cole:

This year I made my annual trek to Bandon a little late. I went in October rather than September and was met by a huge storm, it was so large and persistent that it caused me to leave Oregon and seek refuge on the California coast. That was a good thing because I had never seen the California coast above San Francisco before.

Before leaving, I did have a "meet-and-greet" on one of the stormiest days in Bandon. I am happy to report that 100% of the attendees were very, very nice. Here's a picture of me with all of them:

This is Jason Newton (left), he was 100% of the people who showed up! The weather was so bad that all we could do was get some breakfast and talk. I'm glad he ventured out that day, I learned a great deal from him.

On the way to Oregon I stopped at the recreational sand dunes at Sand Mountain in Nevada and on the way home I stopped by Goblin Valley near Moab. This newsletter contains the new images from each of these locations.

Cole

P.S. Here's a very nice art video entitled "Ashes and Snow."

Melting Giants Featured in LensWork

I'm excited to have my portfolio "Melting Giants" featured in the Nov/Dec issue of LensWork.

LensWork is one of the few things that I aspire to photographically, and this time it's an extra special treat because it's the first time I've been featured on the cover.

You can purchase single issues of LensWork at your local Barnes & Noble. If you don't see it on the shelf, dig around behind the other photo magazines. It's a very short publication and it often gets hidden by the others.
