(The Fountainhead No.
3 - Minneapolis)
Several
months ago I was in downtown San Diego when I saw
the skyline reflected off of a curved car window;
I immediately knew what my next project would
be. But "where" to start the project was an
open question until I discovered downtown
Minneapolis and its incredible
architecture.
This work is a huge departure
from my roots of sharp images, landscapes and
conventional photography. When I showed the
work to Hamidah Glasgow over at The Center for
Fine Art Photography, she remarked that it
reminded her of "The Fountainhead" and thus the
title was born. The Fountainhead is Ayn
Rand's seminal novel about an individualistic
architect,
Howard Roark, who created only
for himself and refused to compromise.
If
you'd like to enter your name in a drawing to

me with "The Fountainhead" in the title.

P.S. These images were all
created in-camera (no Photoshop) and with a
standard
lens.
